1. I love my son more than anything.
2. I hate my job.
The. End.

The best Mommy in the whole world
These are the words that make my heart melt. Just call me 'puddle'.
What makes it even better is when it's spoken for absolutely no reason.
Seriously...
The. Best. Feeling. Ever.
And how cute is this picture of Darth and his best bud 'the Bry Pirate'?
Love. It.

A picture worth one word...
So I've been bummed that Ryan has been wisked away to Disneyworld, leaving his pathetic mama behind.
But tonight I saw the funniest thing. It made me laugh so hard I nearly pissed myself.
Shane, Ryan and the 'rents went to dinner tonight at 50's prime time. We went last year and personally it was one of my favorite eateries we visited. Shane thought so too so he made reservations again this year.
Well they treat you like your children there. Not in a 'let mama spank you' kind of way....but in a 'granny says get your damn elbows off the table or i'll tan ya' kind of way.
Well Ryan calls me and says that daddy got in trouble for drinking too much soda.
This was the result...

Now I know it's not the finest quality, but it brought me more joy than I can say. Seeing my soon-to-be-ex-husband in a paper cap is worth more than a thousand words.
But since people who still like Shane might be reading this blog, I'll narrow it down to one.
DUNCE
Now if you'll excuse me, I must go find the last bottle of Resolve spot remover since I have pissed myself all over my big fat comfy recliner.
Thank you and goodnight.

Stuck at home
Well my little man is on vacation with his father. They went to Disneyworld (as mentioned in an earlier post) and are spending the entire week with my dad and step-mom.
I'm jealous.
Shane has been sending me pictures and keeping me updated daily as to how much fun they are having. I love seeing Ryan's face...he is having the best time EVER!!
And I wish I was there.
Shane did ask me, but to be honest I would feel beyond strange spending the entire week with him. Like kissing my cousin strange.
So I sit here waiting until Thursday when I can see Ryan again and let him tell me about all the wonderful things that he did with Daddy, Pappy and Grandma.
I just hope it doesn't sting too much.

Mommy just doesn't make as much money as Daddy
I really hate those words...more than I hate the words, "It's just a little spider."
But I find myself saying them more than I like.
There are many injustices in the world. One of which is the fact that Shane makes three times the yearly salary that I do.
So it's with deep regret that I don't have the luxury of taking my son on the coolest damned vacation ever...Disney World.
What kid wouldn't think their parents the best in the world for a vacation like that? I want to take Ryan all over the world, mostly I want to see him smile.
But there is no possible way I could afford a vacation like that. No way.
I can just afford the bills that I have and I'm not living high on any hog.
But I swallow my pride as I'm telling Ryan that he'll have a wonderful time in Disney. That him and Daddy will be too busy for him to miss me at all.
And what does that little guy say back to me?
Ryan: I'm sorry you and I didn't get to go.
Me: I know baby. Someday you and I will get back to Disney together.
Ryan: No, I mean I'm sorry we didn't get to go to Tennessee on our vacation.
*snif*
Here I am feeling sorry for myself that I can't afford to take my little man on glorious character filled getaways and he's apologizing to me for not being able to go on the vacation that I could afford.
I love my little man...even if his father is a complete ass.

Where did I go?
The one person that is following this blog might be asking that question. The really sad thing is that I had no idea that anyone was following this blog so I don't even know who it is.
So whoever you are, thanks for following and sorry I've been gone so long.
Now...about the answer.
I've been very busy. That should cover it right?
Oh, you actually want details...well fine.
I've been working on a book. I am having so much fun playing with my new found creativity and inspiration for said creativity, that I look forward to the evenings that I don't have my son just so I can get in a few more hours of writing. Not that I'd trade the two, but hey...if I'm I'm forced to spend nights away from him, I might as well have something to keep me busy, right? And if I'm forced to keep busy it might as well be something that I actually enjoy.
I've also found a new addiction. Beading!!! I freaking love it, although I don't have nearly enough cash to support the habit the way I truly want to. But no biggie...I can live off of Ramen for years!
Ryan and I were supposed to go on vacation a few weeks ago but it never happened. He ended up with a really nasty fever and by the time it finally subsided, it was 1/2 way into the week and not really worth the 10 hour trip to Tennesse. We were both really disappointed though as my dad, stepmother, sister, brother in law, nephew and 2 neices were all there too!!! But on the good side of things...I ended up with strep throat before the week was through so it all happened the way it was supposed to. There was NO WAY I would have been able to drive feeling the way I did. Fever, night sweats, chills, horrible headache and I couldn't anything solid without feeling like I was going to projectile vomit.
I missed seeing my family though and that's the really sucky part of it.
So that's what I've been up to outside of the job that pays me (if you want to call it that).
Besides pretty much hating the father of my child just for existing, I really haven't been that busy.
On the family side of things...
My sister was in a very serious accident on Father's Day. She almost died that night but somehow she managed to fight her way through. She's home now...very sore and slightly disoriented at times, but she's doing well all things considered.
I can't tell you how upset I was when my step-mother called me and gave me the news...my heart literally dropped out of my chest. I wanted desperately to jump on-line and schedule the next flight out. But I knew they wouldn't even let me in the hospital with as sick as I was.
I felt desperate.
I was suddenly flooded with a memory of my childhood.
My dad, step-mom, step-brother and sister had just moved to Florida. I went down that first summer and stayed for a whole month. One night, Shawny and I were sleeping on the floor in the living room (it was cooler out there) and a thunderstorm passed through. She woke up terrified and I held her the rest of the night, telling her over and over again that she would be fine and I would stay with her the rest of the night.
It was one of the few times in my life that I truly felt like a big sis.
I wanted to fly down to her that night and hold her, reassure her that I wouldn' t leave.
I'm so grateful that she is on the mend...she has a long road ahead of her but I have confidence that she will be okay.
Love ya Shawny!!!
Onto Ryan:
He finished kindergarten with flying colors. And he's eager to keep learning so we are working on first grader workbooks purchased at our local neighborhood Target (my favorite store!!) and trying to find learning opportunities everywhere we go.
He lost his first tooth last Sunday and his second tooth this past Sunday. Daddy tooth fairy left him $5.00 for each tooth. I hope Ryan understands someday that Mommy tooth fairy isn't quite as well off...someday.

Just look at that face. How can you not love that?
So that's about it, I think. If I missed anything then you'll have to wait another couple of months to find out about those details.
Peace out.
